Our new Evacuation mat is designed to be small and compact as well as being very hard wearing. The unit in constructed of highly durable fabric with a foam pad for comfort.
The principles of the unit are the same as with all our evacuation products: Use in Emergencies to safely transport those who are bed ridden or have limited mobility. An ideal aid to have for those patients who are bed ridden who may have a bedroom above ground floor level. In case of Fire Emergencies elevators may shut down so caregivers would only have access to stairwells.
The webbing runs the full length of the unit encapsulating both head and foot end pulling straps in one piece of very strong webbing. Together with the two body straps for tall and short patients. Once the patient is on the unit they can be enveloped for security by the wings on either side. Secured by the webbing and buckles and then pulled to safety by means of the head and foot pull straps. A slippy underside ensures ease of movement on any surface, such as carpet, vinyl or concrete.
A risk assessment needs to be carried out prior to any training or emergency and two persons are required for the use of the Evacuation Mat. When not in use this mat can be stored securely and discreetly under patients bed or in a wardrobe.
Enables transferring of patient in case of emergency evacuation.
Maximum carrying weight 150kg.
Fitted with 2 body straps to keep the patient secure during transit.
Only two people required for evacuation.
